Preceptor Moderator Assignments
All registered preceptors are expected to serve as room moderators during one morning or afternoon sessions. Multiple preceptors will be assigned to a specific room and may decide in advance how they would like to divide their responsibilities in order to attend their own residents presentations. Contact information for co-moderators is available to allow advance communication and scheduling.
Why are Moderators important? As a volunteer Board we do not have the members to moderate all presentations for a 2-day conference. We rely on our attendees to volunteer as moderators to continue to foster a supportive environment for all residents who share their hard work and results of a year-long residency project. As a moderator, you assist by opening the stage for our presenters by introduction, facilitate discussion and questions from our attendee, and transition between speakers. Your contribution as a moderator is what makes the conference successful.
Moderator check-in opens at 7:30 AM for morning sessions and 1:30 PM for afternoon sessions. Please check-in and head to the assigned room at least 10 minutes prior to the first presentation.
